The latest Motor Vehicle Safety statistics in Canada show that there are over 154,000 nationwide grievances due to traffic collisions every year. Almost 10,000 of these are serious injuries and 1,841 of them result in death. In 30% of the fatalities and in 17% of serious injuries, seatbelts were not worn.
This serves to show that, even though Canadian roads have become much safer in the last 20 years, safety training for the logistics and warehousing industry are vital. It’s not only the lives and health of employees that are at stake, but also the proper running of related businesses.
