WHMIS is a safety course addressed to employees who work with or around hazardous materials. According to the Government of Canada’s Hazardous Products Act, all such workers are required by law to undergo proper WHMIS training.
Our WHMIS program is compliant with the OHS Act and follows the WHMIS 2015 (GHS) standard of training.
Our easy to use platform allows you to obtain a WHMIS certificate recognized by employers who strive to meet the demands of the legislation.
The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) provides Canadian workers with information about hazardous products used in the workplace.
Initially established in 1988 and updated in 2015, WHMIS aims to ensure employers and workers receive consistent and comprehensive health and safety information about the hazardous products they may be exposed to.
While this is a commercial page where we provide WHMIS online training courses, we've also created a dedicated page where you can learn more about WHMIS.
WHMIS Online Training includes 6 modules and 6 tests.
This module provides valuable knowledge to familiarize you with WHMIS, including its workplace applications, components, and updated 2024 legislation.
WHMIS divides potential Hazards into two primary groups: Physical Hazards, and Health Hazards. Moving from the most general classification to more specific ones, these levels are hazard “group”, hazard “class”, hazard “category” and, in some cases, hazard “subcategory.”
Pictograms are graphic images that immediately show the user of a hazardous product and what type of hazard is present.
Hazardous products used in the workplace must be labelled. Labels alert workers to the major hazards and basic precautions or safety steps that should be taken.
Safety data sheets (SDSs) are summary documents that provide information about hazardous products and advice about safety precautions.
Workers must be educated and trained so they understand the hazards and know how to work safely with hazardous products.

Once you meet this minimum requirement, you will go through a step-by-step process available in your account to create your SCORM export file and decide how many individuals you wish to train using this system. Your account will display how many remaining credits you have in this dispatch, and you can add/remove seats as you wish.
